The aim of the Devon Guild, as with all other Guilds of Weavers, Spinners & Dyers, is to preserve and improve the crafts of weaving, spinning and dyeing by hand, and to promote these traditional crafts to the general public.
If you are already a member of this or another Guild of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers you may already know much of the information given here.If you are not a member, but are interested in any aspect of fibre-crafts and hand-crafted textiles, we hope that you will find our site interesting, and that you will be tempted to visit a Guild meeting soon !
Our programme of talks and workshops covers a wide variety of crafts, and you don't need to be a weaver, spinner or dyer to attend our meetings as a visitor or to join the Guild - our meetings and membership are open to anyone and everyone who has an interest in any aspect of fibre-crafts and textiles.If you want to learn or practise weaving, spinning or dyeing, we can direct you towards the right places to go in your part of the county.
